- I am possibly migrating BACKwards to Wix?
I got a phone call from the Yellow Pages yesterday asking about my digital presence... Which became a conversation...(thank you Cassandra!!!) An hour later we were not finished but I had booked a lunch with my mother at noon(Cafe Landwer in Forest Hill Village), and that is always a priority, especially since it was a Friday & my mum still sort of operates on a Monday to Friday * schedule despite not really needing to nowadays...( *work things get done during the week & we needed to get some work accomplished)! This morning, I decided to try Cassandra's suggestion about migrating backwards from Wordpress.org to Wix.com (based on the news that Wix had seriously improved their interface & much more-and yes it seems to be very true as I try it out today after 10 years of being a wordpress convert)! Note: I am loving this automatic AI artificial intelligence here that hotlinked both those addresses (urls) automatically for me just now! Backstory: I came from Wix in 2014 just before Christmas season-my site was getting piles of hits and attention and huge volume of readers to my new manuscripts I had embedded via Scribd.com scribd.com/grovecanada This link , By the way gets you to My page on Scribd where there are still a pile of free manuscripts sitting, in various stages of edit, but free to look at or skim or even read, if you feel like looking backwards at my history, or herstory(to be more precise) at all...(sometimes I wonder who actually wrote all that because it has been so long, I do not even remember who that person was!) continued below photo... HAND (I was designing a functioning prosthetic hand for someone who had been born with just a stub) So...Wix seems better faster smarter and even possibly easier to use than it was 10 years ago...True! Also, I was able to migrate a giant pile of posts and media seamlessly today from the grovecanada.ca blog...(A smaller list of posts I have to manually migrate here is still pending, as I try to figure out how to do that here on Wix...) I am still deciding what exactly I am going to do, but for now, it is very possible, that this will be my new old blog home... Part of me posting this post is to see how I feel about it, and responses from others...I have about a week to decide finally...A self imposed deadline but you have to do that sort of thing when you are self-employed...lol more later...feel free to cmment and let us see how the commenting system works here too!!! hugs, Sari Grove
